California Sea Lion Jar

California Sea Lions are everywhere in BC’s coastal waters, although we tend to see them most in the winter on chilly sailing trips. They have so much personality. They are loud, acrobatic, often obnoxious, and always funny.
This piece was high heat fired in a special soda kiln, where the path of the flame can be seen in the distribution of the colours and textures on each piece.
