Oh, hi there

Art is my life. When I was little, my parents set me loose in a wonderland of art supplies at their commercial art studio, and I was constantly making things. My dad taught me how to use an exacto knife at age 9, and how to use an early version of Photoshop a few years later.

Since then, I've worked in a variety of artistic fields, first as a theatrical lighting designer (Chicago, Virginia, Rome), and later as a portrait and fine art photographer (Burkina Faso, Washington DC). In 2011, I moved to Vancouver, British Columbia to work as a computer animator, and I am currently supervising animation on feature projects (most recently She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Free Guy).

Moving to British Columbia sparked an obsession with the wildlife of coastal western Canada, and I spend as much time outdoors as I can muster camping, hiking, birdwatching, kayaking, and sailing.

Recently, I've fallen head over heels in love with clay. Ceramics gives the absolute freedom to create nearly anything I can imagine. I use ceramics as a way to meditate on the natural world and as an antidote to the world of computers and screens. I hope that you will enjoy my unique (and often weird) take on the beauty of our planet.
